Pulling, an off-center steering wheel, uneven tire wear, bouncing, or clunks. We inspect first: an alignment cannot fix worn parts, and we will not sell you one to mask the other.
Roughly 50,000–100,000 miles depending on the car and the roads. Wear is gradual, so the honest test is an inspection plus how the car behaves over bumps and under braking.
It is strongly recommended. A misaligned car will wear a brand-new set the same way it wore the old one — an alignment check protects the money you just spent.
